I recently finished a project I was working on in Kaden’s room – it started out with adding a light/fan fixture to the ceiling (there was no electricity to the ceiling in that room when I started) and slowly took on a life of it’s own from there (new texture, paint, baseboards, floor moulding, window moulding etc).  Enjoy the pics!

TEXTURE AFTER:

Today April, Kaden and I headed up to Empire Mine to try to get Kaden’s 9 month pictures taken.  Here are some of the best pics from our time .  Enjoy!

April, Kaden, Blazer and I were able to take a trip up the Yerington earlier this month.  Here are some pictures from a walk we did there…

Today we returned from spending the weekend with Lyndsey, David, and Dee-Dee up at my parents house in Yerington.  Incedentally, my parents were there too:).  This was basically our Christmas get-together. Enjoy the pictures!

Hey friends and family.  Yesterday April and I took Kaden out to capture his 6 month pictures.  We went to the Empire Mine which provides a TON of photography options – we were only there for 25 minutes and came out with over 200 pictures (I paired them down to about 40 at home:))!  Here are 10 of the best we took that day…

0011

I really wanted the picture to feel like fall, which meant leaves.  We got some leaf shots, but in the end, I don’t think they were our best…

0021

Kaden likes to eat anything he can touch, so he had a great time with all of those leaves!

This is the same spot with Kaden standing – he is getting really tall!

0051

Kaden is really interested in people, and there were some ladies behind us here that really captured his attention…

0061

Still looking at those ladies:)

This is back in the garden area at the mine.  It was nice that Kaden can sit by himself, but let me tell you, getting him to sit with anything resembling stillness was a challenge!

I believe this was the shot of the day for us.  This is the one we will be printing and hanging in our home…

010One last shot on our way out…

On Saturday April, Kaden and I explored the Biblical Gardens for the first time (its right down the street from us – I can’t believe it took us this long to check it out!).  Here are some pictures:

This last week, April, Kaden, Blazer and I were able to go camping with April’s parents at Half Moon Bay.  Below are several pictures from our trip!

Kaden enjoys “Nana’s” lap

One foggy morning Blazer got to run free on the beach for a bit

Our dog has it rough, doesn’t he?

April, Nana, and Kaden on the same foggy morning

This is the first time Kaden has seen an ocean

Kaden was really interested in the birds, so April made a game of chasing them with him

Personally, I think she looks a bit intense about it:)

All the birds sufficiently chased, they head back to camp

The was the view back at camp.  I’m sorry, it just looked like a scene from a trailor park, so I had to shoot it.

April’s parents enjoying the ocean literally feet from our campsite

Here I am with him

OK, so we actually abuse our dog.  Coaxing failed, April tries brute force to get Blaze to go into the water

She may be tiny, but she won this time

Sunset on one of the days the fog bank didn’t block the sun

One morning when I walked Blaze we found a tennis ball on the beach, which he thuroughly enjoyed

See?

Wind was a factor most days, but it usualy died down when the sun went down

One day we checked out a lighthouse that was south of us.  Unfortunatley, most of it was closed in by fencing.  Here is the house below the lighthouse…

…and here is the lighthouse

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go visit my parents up in Yerington, yeilding some new and interesting pictures.  Enjoy!

Here is Kaden with his Grandma.  He might be a litttle unsure in this picture:).  It’s ok Kaden, the rest of us are unsure as well!

He was really happy most of the weekend.  I don’t think I have ever seen such a smiley child!

Anything he can grab goes straight to the mouth

Here I am with Kaden

Here he is all clean!

Now this is a strange sequence, so let me explain.  Apparently, it is fly season in Yerington, so there were many flies inside and out.  My dad, no longer content to pick them off one by one inside, decided to take the battle to the source.  The source is outside, obviously.  I am not sure if he is winning or not…

Blazer loves Kaden

Hi Friends.  It has been some time since an update (we have been busy, but nothing exciting to take pictures of:)).  Here are some new, recent pictures of Kaden.  Enjoy!

Kaden and Auntie Lyndsey

Kaden is almost always on his stomach now – he wants to crawl pretty badly.

His favorite thing to do right now is to play in his bouncy seat – he really like to bounce!

Here he is getting ready for bed.

He’s a pretty happy guy…

This was his first walk in the backpack thing.  He really liked it, and the walking put him to sleep before we finished the walk.

Hey Friends,

April and I decided several months ago that we wanted to try to take Kaden’s  3 month pictures ourselves.  This morning we got up early and once he was fed, headed over to the high school to take advantage of the abundant grass and the early morning light.  Here are some of the pictures – a few are candidates to be “the one.”  Enjoy!
